God, My Father is Good

God, My Father is Good

2018

Debbie Zepick

What kind of man would give a stone

When his child is hungry for bread?

Or hand his young a snake as a cruel joke,

When he needs a fish instead?

God, my Father is good.

God, my Father is good.

May His praise be always on my lips.

May I honor him as I should.

We have a God of love who holds us close

And counts each hair on our head

He sends us out, but we are not alone

He is with us, like he said

God, my Father is good.

God, my Father is good.

May His praise be always on my lips.

May I honor him as I should.

And when we walk the path of shadowed death

We lean upon his arm

He leads us gently though the veil to life

Safe from any harm.

God, my Father is good.

God, my Father is good.

May His praise be always on my lips.

May I honor him as I should.  (x2)
